INTERNAL ANNOUNCEMENT - Applicants must be a current, active Pikes Peak State College employee within the 2026 calendar year, any capacity.

The Automotive and Diesel Department is seeking support to transition program resources to an automated system. Key responsibilities include automation inventory system management and implementation, classroom and instructional support, and oversight of student employees. 

This position is in-person at the Centennial Campus.  

This is a temporary part-time hourly position, not to exceed 28 hours per week.   

  • Serve as a purchasing support liaison and inventory manager. 
  • Serve as the department’s automation system manager. 
  • Assist faculty with instructional and budgeting support. 
  • Assist in coordination of course scheduling as it relates to the new automated system. 
  • Supervise student employees. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completed associates degree or completed automotive/diesel certificate.
  • Three years of professional level experience in equipment management systems.
  • Experience in automotivie/diesel field.
  • Supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Four or more years of professional level experience in equipment management systems.
  • Commitment to diversity in education. 
  • Project management and purchasing experience.  
  • Experience with equipment shop supervision. 
  • Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and time management. 

General Duties, Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities  

  • Ability to navigate differences effectively and respectfully in the workplace.  
  • Ability to develop, train, and manage a team of student employees and lab assistants.   
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.  
  • Ability to manage professional relationships with students, staff, faculty, and industry partners.
