The Pikes Peak State College Director of Concurrent Enrollment leads the vision, direction, implementation, and management of concurrent enrollment (CE) initiatives, including ASCENT, Career Start, Degree Start, Pivot and High School Articulation. The Director plans, organizes, and oversees all functions and operations of the high school concurrent enrollment programs to ensure equity, access, and academic excellence. The Director establishes and maintains strong relationships with departments and divisions across the College, including Students Services, Student Experience, Instructional Services, and Institutional Effectiveness. The Director demonstrates a leadership and management style that creates an atmosphere of collaboration, inclusion and innovation.

Minimum Qualifications
Professional level experience is defined by the Colorado Division of Human Resources: A position that involves the exercise of discretion, analytical skill, judgment, personal accountability, and responsibility for creating, developing, integrating, applying, or sharing an organized body of knowledge. Colorado revised statute (C.R.S. 24-50-135(1) allows colleges to exempt positions from the State Personnel Classified System that are determined to be professional level work.

Essential Functions
External Partnerships: Develop, increase, and strengthen ongoing K-12 partnerships with an emphasis on problem solving and reducing enrollment barriers for all students. Provide ongoing training and support to school partners regarding student enrollment processes, content delivery and support services. Oversee and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal contract funding and grants.
Partnerships Across PPSC: Maintain knowledge of PPSC policies and procedures for admissions, enrollment, registration, course placement, academic advising and billing. Support academic divisions with content delivery and review of high school instructor credentials. Collaborate with Enrollment Services and Advising staff engaged in on-campus and on-site recruitment and enrollment events. Collaborate with the Office of the Registrar and Enrollment Services to ensure accurate student record management. Collaborate with Institutional Effectiveness to conduct end-of-term student evaluations for concurrent enrollment courses. Engage in data-driven decision making for continuous program improvement leading to equitable outcomes for all students. Conduct and submit, as required, state, federal, and local reports to high school instructors, guidance counselors, principals, and district superintendents highlighting program outcomes and accomplishments.
Student Success: Develop and strengthen initiatives and processes to facilitate student enrollment, registration, advising and matriculation processes. Work collaboratively with the Associate Vice President for Academic Resources to ensure access to the library and the Learning Commons. Partner with the Director of Retention to leverage Navigate360 to track, measure, and analyze successful practices and address potential barriers to academic success. Coordinate high school site visits and in-school initiatives with our Peak Education liaison. Collaborate with the Director of Student Experience to establish initiatives contributing to student development and student welfare. Implement student-centered processes that serve high schools and diverse populations effectively. Ensure alignment of the curriculum to fulfill school district diploma requirements and the delivery of college-level courses that fulfill career pathways.
Program Leadership: Appoint, train and supervise program staff. Ensure quality, responsiveness, and effectiveness by supporting, developing, and directing staff to meet goals, build on past successes, and create innovative visions for their assigned service areas. Manage the day-to-day operation of High School Programs. Manage budget and operations, and provide oversight to maximize fiscal, physical, and personnel resources. Promote a culture of teamwork, facilitate communication, and coordinate activities with internal and external stakeholders as it relates to concurrent enrollment and matriculation. Establish and maintain program timelines and priorities; actively coordinate and oversee all deadlines with internal and external partners.
College Leadership: Provide leadership in academic long-range planning and contribute to realization of College’s strategic goals. Represent the College at state, Community College System, and College-wide meetings as required. Develop and submit an annual report to the Executive Team including but not limited to enrollment trends, student success rates, and time to completion of enrolled programs. Stay up-to-date and in compliance with current local, state, and federal legislation, codes, and regulations affecting concurrent enrollment. Contribute to the state consortium of concurrent enrollment leadership and statewide decision-making regarding concurrent enrollment, Early Colleges, and dual enrollment programs.
