This position will be responsible for daily execution and coordination of specific technology programs to maintain the technology programs and maintaining classrooms with router and switch maintenance, Capture the Packet, Azure, and student club equipment for competitions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution in Cyber security, IT, Networking, or related field.
  • Two years of experience in cyber security, information technology or computer science, or related field.
  • Two years of professional level experience with technology operating systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. (demonstrate)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population.

Professional level experience is defined by the Colorado Division of Human Resources: A position that involves the exercise of discretion, analytical skill, judgment, personal accountability, and responsibility for creating, developing, integrating, applying, or sharing an organized body of knowledge.  Colorado revised statute (C.R.S. 24-50-135(1) allows colleges to exempt positions from the State Personnel Classified System that are determined to be professional level work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in Cybersecurity, IT, Networking, or related field.
  • Three or more years of experience in Cyber security, IT, computer science, Networking, or related field.
  • Experience with operating system configuration, server installation and configuration, software and hardware integration, and  database creation and management.
  • Experience in a higher education environment.

Essential Functions 

Technology Coordination & Grant Support

  • Coordinate support with IT Support Services.
  • Submit and follow up with workorders.
  • Ensure that all student computer stations are operational with the technology required.
  • Ensure that routers and switches are maintained and operational.
  • Assist with the Capture the Packet.
  • Assist visiting secondary partnership trainings.
  • Provide equipment requests and needs to the Director of Cyber Security.
Division Support 
  • Communicate and facilitate between BTPS and technology departments.
  • Assist with student club technology needs.
  • Assist with technology needs for department events.
  • Assist with grant renewals and requests.
Additional Duties
Conduct other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the success of the grants; serves on and supports cybersecurity committees and ad hoc task forces.
