The High School Programs Alignment Coordinator supports the expansion and integrity of college-level credit opportunities for high school students by leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Campus Pathway Teacher Qualification, and High School Articulation processes. This position serves as the primary liaison between Pikes Peak State College academic departments and K–12 partners to ensure alignment, compliance, and clarity across systems that support high school instructors teaching college coursework and high school courses articulated for college credit.
The Coordinator ensures that all activities align with college policy, Colorado Community College System (CCCS) guidelines, and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) conditions, while maintaining exemplary communication, responsiveness, and record management.
The Coordinator is expected to maintain a visible presence across the PPSC service area, engaging regularly with internal departments, high school partners, and community organizations. This position requires occasional travel between campuses and partner sites. While the role is primarily campus-based to support team collaboration and partner engagement, some remote work may be negotiable in alignment with departmental needs, institutional policy, and the nature of assigned duties.
REPORTS TO: Senior Director of High School Programs
Minimum Qualifications
- Completed baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience managing educational programs, academic operations, or student services, including scheduling, process implementation, and alignment with institutional and partner expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and K–12 partners to ensure consistent communication, compliance, and program integrity.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate records, managing sensitive information in compliance with FERPA, and producing reports for institutional, state, or system-level accountability.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinate across teams (e.g., academic departments, marketing, IT, operations), and deliver.
Professional level experience is defined by the Colorado Division of Human Resources: A position that involves the exercise of discretion, analytical skill, judgment, personal accountability, and responsibility for creating, developing, integrating, applying, or sharing an organized body of knowledge. Colorado revised statute (C.R.S. 24-50-135(1) allows colleges to exempt positions from the State Personnel Classified System that are determined to be professional level work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completed master’s degree in education, curriculum and instruction, higher education administration, or an approved career and technical education program area.
- Documented leadership experience in previous professional assignments demonstrating initiative, innovation, and effective collaboration across departments or institutions.
- Successful experience working with career and technical education (CTE) or dual credit programs as an instructor, coordinator, or administrator at the secondary or postsecondary level.
- Experience utilizing student information or case management systems such as Banner, Salesforce, Slate, Navigate, or similar platforms for data tracking and communication.
- Familiarity with Colorado Community College System (CCCS) policies, articulation procedures, and Tested Experience Rubric processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives that enhance educational alignment and student success.
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluent Spanish

Essential Functions
Campus Pathways Teacher Qualification
- Systematically manage requests from K–12 partners for high school teachers to be vetted to teach PPSC courses on their campuses.
- Collaborate with the appropriate department chair to review teacher credentials using the Tested Experience Rubric.
- Maintain transparent, timely communication with applicants and partners regarding outcomes and next steps.
- Document and track all vetting requests, outcomes, and correspondence to ensure compliance and historical accuracy.
- Forecast instructional needs and trends in collaboration with the HSP Leadership to support program expansion.
- Ensure all Campus Pathway resources reflect current, accurate, and approved course offerings and qualified instructors.
High School Articulation
- Manage the vetting process for high school courses seeking articulation by coordinating with relevant department chairs and faculty.
- Ensure systematic, equitable, and timely review of syllabi, assessments, Gateway alignment and instructional alignment to PPSC standards.
- Maintain organized and accessible records of all articulation agreements and approvals.
- Oversee transcription and billing processes related to articulated credit, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with CCCS and PPSC policies.
- Communicate regularly with high school partners regarding articulation status, renewal timelines, and procedural updates.
- Ensure all Articulation marketing materials reflect current, accurate, and approved course offerings and qualified instructors.
Communication, Outreach, and Recruitment
- Create and maintain academic plans of study for alignment for each high school partner.
- Prepare and deliver professional presentations to high school audiences (students, parents, counselors, and instructors) to inform and promote Pikes Peak State College’s services within these initiatives.
- Maintain webpages with up-to-date, relevant information regarding individual school articulation agreements.
Alignment, Compliance, and Communication
- Serve as the liaison between academic departments, the High School Programs office, and K–12 partners to support clear, consistent understanding of expectations and processes.
- Maintain up-to-date data and metrics to monitor participation, approval rates, and program outcomes.
- Support compliance efforts for all parties with conditions outlined in Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) and state guidelines.
- Support continuous process improvement through documentation, analysis, and stakeholder feedback.
- Contribute to future alignment opportunities as new program models, pathways, or partnerships emerge.
Faculty, Staff, and Operational Support
- Serve as a central point of contact for PPSC faculty, department chairs, and instructional staff engaged in Campus Pathway and Articulation partnerships.
- Assure Campus Pathway instructors are active and in good standing with Human Resources.
- Provide guidance and administrative support to ensure smooth operational flow across departments, including scheduling meetings, facilitating communication, and maintaining shared records.
- Coordinate with HSP leadership instructional deans, academic operations, and the High School Programs team to ensure accurate setup of courses, CRNs, and instructor assignments in Banner.
- Assist with onboarding and communication for high school instructors approved to teach PPSC courses, including access to instructional systems, syllabi templates, and compliance documentation.
- Support faculty and department chairs in resolving process-related questions, credentialing clarifications, or documentation needs related to dual credit programs.
- Participate in departmental and cross-functional meetings to identify and address operational barriers to program effectiveness.
General Duties, Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Ability to navigate differences effectively and respectfully in the workplace.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and resource for Campus Pathways, High School Articulation, and related alignment initiatives within the High School Programs department.
- Coordinate communication and collaboration between PPSC academic departments, highschool partners, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and compliance across programs.
- Develop, update, and maintain accurate departmental records and reports, including instructor vetting outcomes, articulation agreements, Tested Experience Rubrics, and Memoranda of Understanding.
- Prioritize, manage, and complete multiple projects simultaneously, often under tight deadlines and across diverse academic disciplines.
- Facilitate processes for high school instructor qualification, articulation review, and course alignment by engaging with the appropriate department chairs and faculty.
- Ensure proper documentation, storage, and security of confidential information in compliance with FERPA and institutional policy.
- Develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with faculty, staff, and K–12 partners through proactive communication and responsive service.
- Analyze data, identify trends, and provide regular reports to inform decision-making, program forecasting, and continuous improvement.
- Support departmental events, meetings, and trainings related to Campus Pathways, Articulation, or future alignment opportunities.
- Represent the High School Programs department in meetings and collaborative initiatives, providing updates, addressing partner needs, and advancing strategic alignment goals.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of High School Programs by identifying opportunities for greater efficiency, accuracy, and partnership effectiveness.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and strategic priorities of the High School Programs department and Pikes Peak State College.
