The Recruitment and Onboarding Coordinator performs a variety of responsibilities supporting the APT, Faculty and Classified recruitment, onboarding, and benefit processes.

This position will have the potential for one remote day following completion of training and workload assessment.  

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Two years of professional level experience in human resources related functions (i.e. recruitment, onboarding, benefits, etc.).

Professional level experience is defined by the Colorado Division of Human Resources: A position that involves the exercise of discretion, analytical skill, judgment, personal accountability, and responsibility for creating, developing, integrating, applying, or sharing an organized body of knowledge.  Colorado revised statute (C.R.S. 24-50-135(1) allows colleges to exempt positions from the State Personnel Classified System that are determined to be professional level work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three or more years of professional level experience in human resources related functions (i.e. recruitment, onboarding, benefits, etc.).
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Experience with administering applicant tracking systems.
  • Experience with group benefits management.

Essential Functions  

Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Assist the recruitment team with recruitment and selection process.
  • Manage candidate communication.
  • Utilize applicant tracking system to create and post positions.
  • Evaluate candidate applications.
  • Provide recruitment guidance to committee members and supervisors.
  • Utilize various data platforms to maintain and update information.
  • Assist with the coordination of orientation and onboarding of new employees.
  • Administrative duties associated with recruitment recordkeeping.
  • Provide benefits guidance and training (health, dental, retirement, life, etc.).

Staffing Coordination

  • Track employee appointments.
  • Manage electronic filing of employment information.
  • Ensure accurate completion of hire/transfer paperwork for new employees.
  • Monitor benefits deductions, reconciliations, enrollment, and terminations.
  • Serve as Affordable Care Act (ACA) Coordinator determining eligibility and tracking compliance.
  • College liaison for risk management, worker's compensation, claims maintenance.

  • Maintain consistency and integrity of the college’s recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Interpret and apply compliance with State Board policies, System Procedures, Department of Personnel and Administration, Fair Labor Standards Act, and higher education practices.
  • Provide direction and guidance to ensure compensation aligns with internal equity and the Equal Pay Act.
  • Foster customer service driven relationships with vendors, faculty, staff, and students.
  • Recommend and implement innovative approaches in automation to enhance capabilities and improve services.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of recruitment.
  • Ability to identify issues and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Ability to effectively work both independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and simultaneously.
  • Manage employee situations with a high level of confidentiality.
